CONCERT: SHINE! CONCERTO IN PERSPECTIVE III

Experience the amalgamation of piano concerto movements and solo works performed by prize winners of the 1st Beethoven International Piano Competition (Singapore) – Xavier Sheng and Ian Teh. Singapore’s Bösendorfer Artist Josephine Koh will conduct Joyeux Sinfonietta, in a unique orchestral setting led by The Libitum Quartet. Guest artists include pianists Christine Octaviani, Quah Jiezhi and violinist Albert Shagimardanov.

Congratulations to the following students for winning prizes and awards at last month's Joyeux Music International Competition for Young Pianists 2021. It was a good showing with all the efforts and hard work. A selected number of students were featured at the JMI Gala Winners' Concert.

RESULTS OF 2021 ABRSM & TRINITY PIANO EXAMinationS
The first half of 2021 sees students preparing for their Performance Grade and Diploma examinations. With our experiences in video recording and quality teaching from the dedicated team, it is not surprising that this year's students once again acheived 100% merits and distinctions. Without Scales, Sight Reading and Aural for ABRSM exams, students have no difficult with playing an additional piece due to their extended repertoire in their studies. We would like to thank our dedicated piano teachers, wonderful parents and congratulate the following students for their excellent results. The highest scorer for up to Grade 5 goes to Dylan Cheng (Grade 5) with Distinction of 144/150.

We would like to congratulate the success of ELIJAH CHEW who completed FTCL, LRSM, DipABRSM and currently serving National Service, for being admitted to study Mathematics (Masters) at Oxford University in the UK.
Kaleb Teo - recently passed DipABRSM with Distinction. He is a Secondary One MEP student at Hwa Chong Institution and was named 1st prize winner at the Classical Music Award in New York; thus invited to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York. Kaleb also won GOLD award at the Singapore Asia Youth Piano Competition.
