Rachel Tan, Grade 7 wins ABRSM Hedy King Robinson Award for 2009 November theory exams
Asia Youth Orchestra Scholarship:
Mifiona Quah won a prestigious place with the AYO. Along with 3 other Singaporeans, come July-August, she will represent the country on an intensive training-concert tour as harpist with more than 100 top musicians selected from Japan, Korea, China, Malaysia and others.

Berkelee College of Music:
Sheena Hong, who completed DipABRSM and having scored Distinctions for ABRSM Grade 8 Theory and Practical at JKMS and straight As at 'A' levels at National Junior College has won a coveted place at Berkelee University in the USA(top university in the US for Pop and Jazz Music). She will soon leave in September to study Music Production, Contemporary Music with composition. Sheena has been a student at JKMS since Sec 1.

Operation Theatre 3:
The brothers Jipson and Pipetius Quah composed and presented the highly successful and sold-out musical for 3 nights for the Medical Faculty of NUS in February 2010. Wonderful mix of drama, songs, music, singing and dancing. Looks like the grinding music education at JKMS produced the best composers and talents of contemporary music too.

Bosendorfer Artist
Ms Josephine Koh was appointed the Region's Bosendorfer Artist in September 2009. She now plays on the Bosendorfer 225, pathing the way to a new stage in her performance career.
