JKMS offers 3 types of part-time diploma programmes that prepare students for international diploma examinations offered by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music and Trinity College London.
* Teaching Diplomas (consultations only)
* Theoretical Diplomas
* Piano Performance Diplomas
For each type of diploma, there are 3 levels of certification:
Based on the UK Accrediatation system,
Associate level -
The standard is equivalent to the end of the 1st year in a full time undergraduate courest at a conservatoire or other higher education institution.
At JKMS, students pursue the diplomas with expectations equivalent in scope, though not necessarily in depth to the full-time tertiary level students.
Licentiate level -
The standard is equivalent to that of a final year full-time undergraduate course at a conservatoire or other higher education institution.
Fellowship level -
The standard of the dipoloma is equivalent to that of a full-time postgraduate course.
